On 23rd April, 2014 at 10.00 (CET) the students from Visegrad Universities will participate in the first round of debates with their peers from Moldova. The teams from the Charles University, Prague (Czech Republic), Central European University, Budapest (Hungary), Collegium Civitas, Warsaw (Poland) and Matej Bel University, Banska Bystrica (Slovakia) will debate the European Union and European integration with the students of Academia de Studii Economice din Moldova (ASEM) from Chisinau, Moldova.
Iulian Groza, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will share his thoughts with the students at the beginning of the debate. The debate will be preceded by a lecture of Vladimir Bilcik, a distinguished expert of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association.
The debate is a part of the project of MESA10 from Bratislava, Slovakia, entitled “Debating the European Union: Visegrad 4 Experience”. The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and implemented by MESA10 partners from Visegrad countries and Moldova. The project aims at sharing the EU integration and reform experience of Visegrad countries (V4) with Moldova and strengthening the understanding of reforms needed on its European path via live debates of University students from V4 and Moldova.
Debate will be broadcast live and will be accompanied by a seminar to acquaint students, faculty members and NGOs with IVF programs, grants and scholarships. We are hopeful that this, combined with direct interaction of students will increase the opportunities of cooperation between V4 and Moldova.
