MESA10 experts carried out a feasibility study “Business to Business” (B2B) in the context of mechanisms for providing Slovak development assistance for the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. Aim of this study was to create analysis of the Slovak environment and processing practices and methodological recommendations for the establishment of a functioning system support domestic businesses in their efforts to establish long-term, commercially viable partnerships in developing countries.

The study included:

  • Analysis of the sectors in which the Slovakia has opportunities for B2B collaboration in the context of development assistance
  • Findings of the territorial approach and possible territorial preferences for B2B
  • Assessment of the involvement of Aid for Trade (within the Ministry of Economy)
  • Analysis of realised B2B projects in the prior action of SlovakAid (since 2004-2011)
  • Financing models B2B
  • Draft eligible expenses for applicants for B2B projects
  • Co-financing of applicants
  • Institutional arrangements of B2B
  • Options for B2B involvement in the programs of the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other international organizations
